WebChat for Windows Gets Better
Over the past few months users have been using and evaluating version 0.5
of the Windows client for WebChat!.
At long last, version 1.0 of the client is in development - it is due for release
with the v1.0 version of the server.

Before the final release of the client, however, there will be an intermediate release. This will offer some of the new features of v1.0, but for v0.5 servers. This is to let you get the ease of use of the new features now, rather than waiting months for the new server.
At A Glance
The following features will be available in the intermediate release:
- New text edit window - see formatting as you type.
- Smiley quick-list - pick smileys from a list instead of remembering the key combination.
- Text blends - you asked for them, now you have them.
These features will be available in the final v1.0 release:
- Improved friend support on v1.0 servers.
- Increased customisation features.
- Better help.
